We are currently looking for a skilled and motivated associate with 2+ years experience as an Ontario lawyer to join our Corporate and Commercial team.  As a Corporate and Commercial Lawyer with our firm, you will have the opportunity to handle a diverse range of legal matters, including interprovincial and cross-border transactions. We welcome candidates who are enthusiastic about contributing to our team’s success and providing clients with exceptional service.


  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on corporate and commercial matters, including business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, contract negotiation, and compliance issues.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of corporate agreements, such as shareholder agreements, partnership agreements, and licensing agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting corporate clients and apply this knowledge effectively to support our clients.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and other dispute resolution processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective legal support and representation for clients.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of corporate legal strategies and initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date legal documentation and records.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, and actively participate in business development efforts for the firm.


  • LL.B. or J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing law with a demonstrated interest in corporate and commercial law.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
  • Fluency in English (additional fluency in French is an asset).
